the visit home(?)....

I went on a flying(by train) visit to good 'ol Kochi, my home-town... was there for 24hrs....

Met up with friends (those who were there).... bad timing to be there -- most of them were either travelling out or into town for the holidays. Hope to have better luck next time.

Met up with relatives.... aunts, uncles, cousins and others.... many long time no sees....

Went walking around town @ random.... went nowhere in particular

Went to the temple that I used to 'frequent' as a child....

Attended a wedding... I have become a formal invitee who comes into state for weddings and other such occasions. For 21 years I am in and never out, and once I get out I never go back in.

Listened to FM.... Aaah wanted to do this for a long time, to tune into the new (and much hyped) malayalam FM waves, it was good, while it lasted (a couple of hours travelling).... could make do with malayam internet radio stations out there -- but that will have to wait for a high bandwidth connection i.e till next year....

Ate porota and chicken biriyani :P.... pending long time....


And more impertantly what did not happen....
Wanted to check out the new malls (again much fabled) but did (or rather could) not.... Wanted to buy some Malayalam literature but did not(time and money issues)....
I did not go home.... planned to but....
